One of my favorite songs is Need You Now by Plumb and the chorus goes like so:

How many times have you heard me cry out
“God please take this”?
How many times have you given me strength to
Just keep breathing?
Oh I need you
God, I need you now.

There was a time not long ago that I was feeling down, depressed and a little worried.  Okay, a lot worried.  This song played over and over in my head and I sang it to God through tears so many times I couldn’t count.

On my way home from church this evening, this song came on the radio and I was reminded of pouring my heart out to my Father through this song.  The funny thing was, I couldn’t remember why.  What had I been so worried about?

Now, as I’m writing this post, I remember what it was, but it took me awhile to think of it.  Not because I’m getting old, I’m sure!  But because my God is bigger than anything I could possibly go through.  I clung to Him and He delivered me from my worry!

I encourage you to cling to Him!  The chorus to this song is so powerful.  Use it as a prayer, say it (or sing it) earnestly to Him and see how He moves.  I love when my children come to me.  How much more does God love it when we come to Him?

My Grandpa sent me this email and I cried!  Even in God’s beautiful creatures there is great love and friendship.  Pay attention … and learn … from a dog …

A dog’s seeing-eye dog….Wow!

Lily is a Great Dane that has been blind since a bizarre medical condition required that she have
Both eyes removed. For the last 5 years, Madison , another Great Dane, has been her sight.
The two are, of course, inseparable.

“People will forget what you said; People will forget what you did.
But people will never forget how you made them feel.”
The angels we have been waiting for are already here.

“To every thing there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven” – Ecclesiastes 3:1

Did you know:
the eggs of the potato bug hatch in 7 days;
those of the canary in 14 days;
those of the barnyard hen in 21 days;
The eggs of ducks and geese hatch in 28 days;
Those of the mallard in 35 days;
The eggs of the parrot and the ostrich hatch in 42 days.
(Notice, they are all divisible by seven, the number of days in a week!)

Thus, the Lord in His wonderful grace can arrange the life that is
entrusted to His care in such a way that it will carry out His purposes and
plans,  and will be fragrant with His presence.

Only the God-planned life is successful.  Only the life given over
to the care of the Lord is fulfilled.

I received the above email this week and, again, was very impressed with the power of God and his perfect plan.  If God takes such good care of the world He created, just think of the way He wishes to care for you.  He loves you and wants His perfect plan for you.

A woman’s life can be a whirlwind of laundry, grocery shopping, cleaning, dish washing, cooking, errands to be run, kids to taxi here and there, bills to pay and an 8 to 5 on top of all that.  Shew!!!  Where do we find the time?  Amidst this craziness, it’s easy to worry, to fall into the mentality of “What are we going to do?  Is there any hope?”  Please remember, Girls, that God is always there … He never changes (Hebrews 13:8) … He never moves.  It’s our worry that moves us away from Him.  And so He instructs us in Matthew 6:25-34 not to worry.  Why?  Because He wants us to be close to Him and enjoy a fulfilled life in Him.  He wants to clothe us more than the lilies of the field and feed us more than the birds of the air.

Move closer to God by diving into His word each day.  Gain so much encouragement from Him that worry has no place in your lives.  Take each day as it comes and hand it directly over to God.  And in all things, praise Him and give thanks.

Read the passage, share it with the girls, bless and be blessed.

Is there anyone in this world who knows exactly who you are?  I mean really knows you … your very core of who you are.  I would guess not.  Sometimes, I don’t even know who I am myself.  But God knows me.  How wonderful that makes me feel … secure and loved.  He knows my innermost being and loves me!  Nothing can I hide from Him, but He knows my every thought.

In Psalm 139, David describes just how much God knows us.  But if you’ll read 1 Corinthians 13:12 you’ll see the other side of the beautiful coin.

“For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.”

Can you imagine what it will be like to stand face to face with God … knowing Him as He knows you?  Knowing the very core of His Being?  I will know fully, even as I am fully known!  Glory to God!  Finally being able to understand who He really is and comprehend His unfathomable love for us.

Everyone will stand before Him … the lost and the saved … and “every knee shall bow and every tongue confess”.  Everyone will know Him as God Almighty, but His own will also know Him as Father.

Something to dwell on.  Something to praise God for.

I opened my Bible the other night with no particular passage in mind to read.  I just wanted to read, so I figured whatever I saw first was where I would begin.  It fell open to 2 Corinthians 3.  The chapter heading is “Christ’s Epistle”.  Verse 3 says: “clearly you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart.”

We, Spirit-filled, are a letter to others.  Let the Spirit of the Living God shine through you and do not hinder Him.  Lead by example.  Be as Jesus would be and people will be drawn to Him.  My prayer is that God will fill me more and more with His Spirit so people see more of Him and less of me.

Remember, the way you live your life is your letter of testimony.  What will you testify today?

This song has been on my heart for the past couple of days.  I just have to share it!

Holy Holy Holy

Is the Lord God Almighty

Who was and is and is to come.

With all creation I sing

Praise to the King of Kings

He is my everything

And I will adore Him!!!!

Adore Him today, my beautiful sisters!  He is the only One who never changes.  You CAN depend on His promises and KNOW that you are saved through the blood of Jesus Christ.  We are clothed in HIS righteousness.  Glory!

In Mark 1:34 Jesus didn’t allow the demons to speak because “they knew him”.  Have you ever stopped to wonder … why did He not want the people to know He was God come in the flesh?  Is it because He knew He would be too awesome for them to gaze upon?

Read with me in Exodus 20:19 when God was on Mount Sinai.  “Then they said to Moses, ‘You speak with us, and we will hear; but let not God speak with us, lest we die.'”  The people were afraid of God’s almighty power and physical presence with them.  It was too much for them to bear.   ” … they trembled and stood afar off.” (Exodus 20:18)

When Jesus was in the garden at Gethsemane before His crucifixion, He told the soldiers that came looking for Him, “I am He.” (John 18:6).  When they heard Him say that they “drew back and fell to the ground”.

Could it be that if Jesus had revealed Himself as God, that maybe they would have run from Him to save their lives?  Could it be that they would be so taken back they wouldn’t be able to fathom getting too close to Him?  Maybe it was simply enough for the people to know Him as the Christ, the prophet like Moses. (Deuteronomy 18:17-18)   Maybe it was the only way to get close to the people He loved so dearly.

All would be revealed in His time, of course, but for then, He left good enough alone.

We are but human, but God is The Almighty.
